Authority Magazine recently interviewed our very own Sandy Critides on the topic of leveraging gratitude to help improve our overall mental wellness.
From your experience or research, what are “Five Ways That Each Of Us Can Leverage The Power Of Gratitude To Improve Our Overall Mental Wellness”. Can you please share a story or example for each?

Find A Ritual That Works For You. Think about how you best want to practice gratitude. Is it on the couch with your favorite warm drink in the morning? In the shower? While driving to work? Is it journaling and writing it down. Build a ritual that works for you and your life that you can do daily, uninterrupted. For me, it’s writing in my journal.
And be sure that you start your day with your gratitude practice. This is essential because it’s sets the tone for how your day will go. Ever gotten a text or an email first thing that just set you off, and that was how your whole day went? This is the reverse. - Check In With Yourself On What Feels Like A Beacon Of Light. Look back at the last 24 hours, or if you’re starting your practice, maybe the last week. Find something good in your life that happened or someone good that made an impact. Focus on that feeling. But also, how amazing it is that you’re able to think through this situation right now. Your body! It’s working so hard for us and we don’t even realize it.
- Getting It Out Of Your Head. Practice gratitude in a way that gets it out into the world. Writing what we’re grateful for brings it to life. It’s real, it has weight more than we realize. I personally believe it’s very powerful to see what you’re grateful for in your own handwriting. It’s you, and it’s yours. This is your reality.

Say It Out Loud. We can write down what we’re grateful for, or think about it, but until we truly internalize it and then vocalize it, the impact it can make on you is minimal. Vocalizing what you’re grateful for makes it real, because you’re saying it out loud for the universe to hear. This goes back to that concept of what you put out to the world, you get back. Vocalizing what you’re grateful for is extremely powerful and carries through your day. A good start is writing it down in your 90 Day Habits Journal for network marketing professionals just like you.
And if you’re grateful for a person — tell them! Call that person to share with them, or write a handwritten note and share how grateful you are for them. Think about that person on the receiving end! How great they must feel to hear that from you!? This is the power you have, and how you put it out there. Sure it makes you a little vulnerable, but the reward is WORTH IT. - Repeat Every 24 Hours. Build a routine. Get vulnerable. Get comfortable. Reflect on what your grateful for every day, write it down in your network marketing journal and speak your truth. You may get a few weeks in and wonder where this is going, but don’t quit. Keep being intentional and you’ll get down the road and one day realize you’ve made a meaningful shift in your life.
